Assistant Editor, Mechanical Business Magazine
Full Time – Salaried Position

Mechanical Business is a successful magazine dedicated to the plumbing, heating and cooling industry in Canada. We are currently looking for a talented editor/writer who is able to understand technical topics and turn them into accurate and compelling articles. Hitting deadline, with meticulous attention to detail, is a must.

Duties will include compiling departments, writing features, creating online multimedia content, fact-checking, proofreading and corresponding with contributors. Working with editors, photographers, designers and the advertising department, the ideal candidate must be able to work independently, as well as part of a team, often under minimal supervision. Travel for industry events and trade shows is required, as will be some overtime. Must have a car, camera and passport.

Ideally, you bring an applicable degree or diploma and at least three years of experience in a publishing environment. Some knowledge of the building trades would be an asset.
