Marketing, the Rogers Publishing Inc.-owned brand that covers marketing, advertising and media in Canada, will launch a French-language version of its
Marketing Daily e-newsletter on Monday.
Called
Marketing Au Quotidien, the publication "will cover Quebec’s marketing, advertising and media industries with original stories written by
Marketing’s team of Quebec correspondents, supplemented with some of the most relevant stories from the English language version of the
Daily, presented in translation," according to a
posting on the Marketing website.
The newsletter will go out to 30,000 Quebec-based readers.
“The Quebec marketing and advertising community is so vibrant right now, we knew we had to expand our coverage and increase our involvement,” said
Marketing executive publisher and editor-in-chief Christopher Loudon in the article. “We thought the best first step would be to introduce a
French Daily, and based on the early feedback, we have every expectation that
Au Quotidien will be tremendously well received.”
The e-newsletter will put
Marketing into direct competition with Laval-based
AMPQ Quotidien and Montreal-based
Les Éditions Infopresse, which halted a move into English Canada last year.
