The Department of Canadian Heritage says it is aiming to bring the magazine industry a Christmas gift in the form of details on the Canada Periodical Fund. A spokesperson has said that they are working hard on the details and expect to make an announcement before the holidays. “We're very aware that PAP funding ceases as of March 31st, and that we need to keep the period between the cessation of that funding and new CPF formula funding being delivered as short as possible, and are examining ways of ensuring that.”
