Closing in at 196 pages, with 15 pages of ads plus quarter-page ads throughout editor Mark Stevenson says it is Maclean’s biggest issue ever. “The Olympics are the event of the year,” he says. “It’s an event that people are going to want a commemorative issue for.”

The issue is perfect bound with more photography than a typical issue, says Stevenson. “We normally try to do content heavy issues, we don’t often get the chance to spread out,” he says. “This issue has given us the chance to showcase the photography to the fullest. Would like to say thanks to the art and design departments. They did a great job on the issue.”

Maclean’s is published weekly by Rogers. It has an average paid circulation of 361,000.  The commemorative Olympic issue will be on newsstands for three months with a cover price of $9.95.
