Direct representatives of The Canadian Business Press gathered in Toronto recently for the organization's annual meeting. Members received the chairman's report, financial statements and elected three new directors.

New to the Board of Directors, which will serve for a 12-month period are MediaEDGE president Kevin Brown, Salon Communications Inc. president and publisher Laura Dunphy and IT World Canada Inc. circulation director Donni White.

Canadian Business Press chairman John Kerr told the crowd that although the organization is facing lower membership numbers thanks to the effects of the slowing economy it did enjoy increased participation in its KRW Awards program this year.
