Zoomer Magazine is now 1.5 million readers strong
 
Zoomer Magazine is celebrating a milestone, with its multiplatform readership metrics showing the publication reaches 1.5 million readers across all platforms (print, tablet, website and mobile).

“We have consistently witnessed increases to our readership and circulation, and this fall the metrics have been tremendous," Suzanne Boyd, editor-in-chief of Zoomer, said. "When our founder Moses Znaimer introduced his vision of a magazine for the mature market, he knew there was no retirement for Zoomer’s, only engagement - more experience, more discovery, more time … and more spending. This is our audience - they have attitude, energy, passion and purpose.”

The magazine serves the 45+ demographic, a generation that has control of more than 70% of the wealth and more than 60% of all consumer spending. Zoomer has a print readership of 1,300,000 and a digital readership of 313,000. The multiplatform metrics published by Vividata— a Canadian source of audience data, for magazines and newspapers—also shows that Zoomer’s readership is concentrated among the highest spenders in its demographic. 

“These results reflect the huge strides the magazine has taken in getting the word out about Zoomer, in getting the magazine in the hands of the right people, where the magazine is likely to be read by multiple targets,” Marisa Latini, vp of marketing at ZoomerMedia, said. “We go where the boomers are - homes, events, offices, airports and the doctors’ office. We use a mix of creative marketing channels that has resulted in the enviable level of circulation and readership we enjoy today.”

Vividata readership results shows that Zoomer’s :
  • Collectively spend more than $70 billion on shopping annually
  • Collectively put $15.2 billion towards their most recent vehicle purchase
  • $2 billion of their travel dollars has gone to foreign destinations/last 12months
  • More than 290,000 readers hold savings & securities worth $250,000+
  • More than 150,000 readers spent $2,500+ a month on their credit cards
  • 369,000 Zoomer readers have a HHI of $100K-plus
  • 308,000 Zoomer readers are homeowners
